Dr. Frances T. (Terri) Sinclair
Dr. Frances T. (Terri) Sinclair has served Community Presbyterian Church (CPC) as Director of Music since 1991. She is also former Associate Professor/Director of Choral Activities at Coastal Carolina University. She has degrees from UNC-Greensboro, Florida State University, and UNC-Chapel Hill.
Terri’s choirs have performed in Scotland, the Washington National Cathedral, the Lincoln Center, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, the SC Music Educators and American Choral Directors Association (SCACDA) conferences, the SC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and the 2008 Democratic Presidential Debate in SC.
At CPC, Terri directs the Adult Choir and oversees the children’s, youth, and handbell music ministries that serve two weekly worship services. The CPC choirs are also active servants of the community, having sung for the Pinehurst Tree Lighting and Festival of Trees several times, the Carols at Weymouth, and the House in the Horseshoe annual fundraising event. In 2009, the CPC Adult Choir was invited to sing for the NC Boys Club Holiday Homecoming Worship Service. In 2012, they coordinated and implemented a fundraising concert for Military Mission in Action, a NC-based charitable organization that provides and modifies housing for wounded veterans. They have also served as guest choir for numerous church revivals in the Sandhills and surrounding community.
Terri loves her work at CPC and looks forward to many more years of music in worship leadership with her church family!
