"We exist not for ourselves but to love God, and make God's love known."

In-person worship has resumed*

Dear Community Presbyterian Church Family,

As we continue to adjust to the changing circumstances we want to keep you informed about what's going on here at CPC.

With celebration, it seems we are entering a new phase of life with the lifting of many COVID-19 restrictions to reflect new public health recommendations. Based on these new guidelines, our session has revised our policy effective immediately to be as follows:

  1. Registration for worship will no longer be required.

  2. The limited capacity requirement for worship and building use will be removed.

  3. Those fully vaccinated do not need to maintain physical distancing.  The seating in the wings of Fellowship Hall will remain set up with 6ft separation for anyone wishing to maintain physical distancing.

  4. For those fully vaccinated, masks are not required while participating in worship or while in the building for other activities.

  5. Those that have not been vaccinated, including children and youth, should continue to wear masks while participating in worship or while in the building for other activities.

  6. Virtual worship services will continue to be offered.

The Session is moving forward with a measured caution as we work to return back to normal.  Congregational singing is still being evaluated as to when it will be safe for all to sing together.  The Session will continue monitoring the situation regularly, performing next level assessments and prayerfully discern future directives.  We will keep you updated as things progress.

Please realize this has not been an easy process of discernment for the Session.  Determining the right response amid the many various opinions has it challenges.  Our decisions are guided by what is known at the moment.  Guidelines and directives may need to be revised and updated as things continue to unfold. We ask for your patience, understanding and prayers as we continue to respond to the changing world in which we live.

We are grateful for the widespread availability of COVID-19 vaccinations and its positive impact on lowering the rate of infection.  As we give thanks for the positive trends in our community may we now pray and work toward achieving those same trends throughout our world.
