Through its programming, Community Presbyterian Church works to provide an opportunity for young people to live out the mission to build community around middle and high school age youth in pursuit of a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a deeper involvement in the life of the church.

We engage youth through…

Youth Fellowship Group

Sunday night programming held most weeks from 4:00pm–5:30pm in the youth loft (stairs by the sanctuary) starting on September 12th, 2021. Evenings vary from games, guest speakers, prayer stations, Bible Studies. We also have weeks where we do an off-campus activity at a park or participate in a service project in our community. Up to date information will be included in Trumpet newsletter and weekly e-blasts. Interested youth and adults can also sign up to receive text alerts and youth news through Remind 101.

Parents, we can’t run our youth program without adult helpers. Please sign up to be bring snacks and for one night per semester to help provide adult supervision on Sunday Nights.

Presbyterian Youth Conferences

Each summer we join other youth and churches at annual youth conferences. In June, our rising 6th – 8th graders attend a four-day Middle School Conference at Massanetta Springs, VA. In July, our rising 9th – High School Graduates attend a weeklong high school conference at Montreat, NC. These conferences offer keynote speakers, worship, recreation, and small group time based on a conference theme. Dates for each summer are announced in late fall. Scholarships are available to help youth who may need financial assistance to attend.

Youth Worship Team

Our youth worship arts program is for grades 6-12 in which we explore the elements of worship and develop creative ways for youth to lead worship.

This group focuses on helping youth express their faith through vocal and instrumental music, as well as drama and narration, in a fun, enthusiastic and supportive environment.

Come and join us on Sundays after worship! Snacks provided.
