Reconciliation Class (formerly AMEN: Amazing Mature Empty Nesters)

Purpose: A group examination of what it would look like to realign our human thoughts and actions to those that God desires. The class will use Bible based, topical subject matter in a study and discussion format with the goal of life changes. We welcome all adults, of all ages and stages.

Great Men of the Bible

Purpose: What makes a person great? This series takes a look at some of the most influential men in the Bible, noting both their failures and their faith.

Location:Library-7:30am- Breakfast will be provided along with lots of bacon.

Current Focus: The Great Men of the Bible community group will meet next on Sunday, January 19, 2020.  We will be finishing the study of John Mark.  In particular we will be examining the last four chapters of Mark’s Gospel.  Please join us in the study of the last weeks of Jesus’ life.  We will also address the lynchpin of our Christian faith, namely the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Message Musers

Purpose: This is a discussion group that meets to talk about the weekly sermon and accompanying scripture and what it means to our everyday lives.

Current Focus: The scripture and sermon of the week and how to apply those teachings to life.

PIC (Parents in Conversation)

Purpose: This class is geared towards parents of children ranging from infants to high school age, although all are welcome to attend. We will explore biblical passages related to the joys and struggles of parenting and invite participants to share together.

Location: Silver Screen Room (down the stairs in the main church building and to the right)

Current Focus: This class includes readings and discussions on The Sticky Faith Guide for your Family: Practical and Tested Ideas to Build Lasting Faith in Kids by Dr. Kara Powell (Fuller Youth Institute). Each class will stand alone. No outside preparation needed, just an open mind and heart to explore how to incorporate faith practices and discussions at home with children and youth so that their faith sticks as they enter young adulthood.

 

Women's Group

Purpose: Through the exploration of biblical text, the Women's Group invites you into a deepened relationship with God utilizing the text, "The Present Word" which engages participants in an experiential style of learning—connecting faith and life.

Current Focus: The Present Word nurtures individual growth of the participants as children of God rooted in the Christian community, life in the Spirit and Christian hope. Discussion and activities encourage participants to live out their faith in their individual and congregational activities.

Purpose: Each month we pray with a scripture passage as we contemplate the message God is telling us.

CPC Prayer Ministry-Tuesdays @ 2:00pm

Purpose: We meet together each week to pray for the healing of those in need, especially those who have reached out with a specific prayer concern.

Designing Women-Monday 5:15p-6:30p

Purpose: Many Christian women find great encouragement and joy in and through women’s Bible studies. Designing Women challenges these hungry women to go deeper in their study of Scripture, focus their efforts on having a better relationship with God . This group of women will energize and equip you for Bible study aimed at transforming both the heart and mind.

WOW (Women of the Word)-Wednesday 9:30a-11:00a

Purpose: The purpose of Women of the Word is to study the word of God, take the principles learned and apply them to practical living for today. God's Word id just as vital and living today as when it was written, We need to know what the Word of God says to us as today's women, so that we can walk closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Friday Women Disciples- Friday Morning-9:30a (coffee & conversation, 9:45a (study) wrap up by 11:15a

Purpose:This group of women will energize and equip you for Bible study aimed at transforming both the heart and mind. "We focus on understanding God's word and applying it to our actions."
